NCBA Bank has announced the introduction of an instant customer onboarding feature on its mobile platform, NCBA Now. This allows users to open bank accounts entirely online, without the need to visit a physical branch.

With a few taps on their smartphones, prospective customers can now download the NCBA Now app, input their identification details, including ID card information and a photo for verification, and open an account from anywhere, at any time.

“At NCBA, we are committed to excellence in customer experience,” said John Gachora, NCBA Group Managing Director. “This includes providing convenience and accessibility. That is why we have expanded our platform to enable our customers to have the capacity to open bank accounts on the go. It is well in line with our exciting journey to digital transformation.”

Beyond account opening, the app also allows customers to set up savings and investment accounts directly through their mobile devices. The bank emphasizes that user data and financial transactions are safeguarded with advanced security measures to ensure customer privacy and protection.

The move is part of NCBA Bank’s broader push to integrate digital solutions into its core operations, offering customers more control, flexibility, and convenience.
