Infinix has finally launched its Xpad tablet into the Kenyan market. The tablet is available locally starting from Ksh 24,000 and you can get it through Xpark. This is the first tablet from the company and was unveiled globally last month.

25K is quite reasonable for a tablet and may appeal to those who want a device specifically for media consumption or just light tasks. There is nothing that stands out with this tablet as it is just decent for anyone looking for a tablet within this price range and they don’t really care about the brand or features.

You can use it to play a few games, watch movies etc but not for high productivity tasks. Since there are not that many tablets within this price segment, Infinix might have some success with this tablet as consumers don’t have many options.

    Infinix Xpad Tablet Specifications

Have a look at the specifications of the Xpad tablet and decide if it is worth 25K.

    • Display: 11-inch (1200 x 1920 pixels), IPS LCD, 90Hz.
    • Processor: Mediatek Helio G99.
    • Rear Camera: 8MP: Records 1440p@30fps
    • Front Camera: 8MP
    • RAM: 4GB
    • Storage: 128/256GB
    • Battery Capacity: 7,000mAh, 18W charging.
    • Android 14, XOS 14

    Pricing and Availability

As mentioned above, the infinix Xpad tablet is available in Kenya for ksh 24,000. This is the price for the 4GB RAM variant but there is an 8GB RAM model if you are interested. From the specs, the Xpad isn’t something I would go for. it comes with an old processor, slow charging, just 90Hz display which isn’t the best considering the screen size, small RAM just to name a few. You are better off getting a smartphone within the same price and I am sure you will get much better specs. If you just want the big display size, you can buy this but be sure it will be outdated in the next few months. Infinix should have included better specs if it wanted this tablet to stand out.
