    Daphne Kabeberi Appointed as Impact and Sustainability Lead for Glovo in Africa

    Glovo has today announced the appointment of Daphne Kabeberi to be the Impact and Sustainability Lead for Africa.

    Daphne Kabeberi has experience of over two decades in championing the welfare of underserved communities. Her experience spans various initiatives, including skills training, fundraising, advocacy, and rural electrification, across numerous cultural and geographical contexts.

    Sebastien Pellion, Global Head of Impact & Sustainability at Glovo, commented on this appointment saying, “We are delighted to welcome Daphne Kabeberi to the Glovo team. Her vast experience and deep-rooted passion for community welfare align perfectly with our vision of creating positive social impact. We are confident that under her leadership, our sustainability initiatives in Africa will reach new heights.”

    At her new role, Daphne Kabeberi will help drive Glovo’s sustainability agenda, ensuring the company’s operations and initiatives contribute meaningfully to social and environmental well-being across Africa.

    Commenting on her appointment, Daphne Kabeberi said, “I am immensely excited to be on this team, in such a vibrant organization. It’s a privilege to lead efforts that will see Glovo take its place as an Impact & Sustainability pioneer and trendsetter on the African continent!

    Before joining Glovo, Daphne was the Program Lead and Partnership Manager at Tunapanda Institute, where she designed, directed and fundraised for training programs to prepare digital workers from underprivileged communities to succeed at dignified jobs. Additionally, as the Lead Sustainability Engineer at Endustrial Support, Daphne successfully implemented “Green Key” eco-label standards for a leading hotel, optimizing energy and water utilization, and guiding best practices that significantly reduced the carbon footprint and achieved substantial annual savings.
