Airtime remains one of the most frequently purchased consumer products in Kenya, as per the latest data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS). Before the advent of Mobile Money services in Kenya, people relied solely on scratch cards to recharge their airtime, a method that is still in use today.

However, the emergence of mobile money services, including Airtel Money, has revolutionized various payment processes, including airtime top-ups.

Out of the many options available in the market for purchasing airtime, Airtel Money stands out due to its unique offering: customers receive an additional 25 percent airtime with every purchase.

Moreover, when Airtel customers buy a bundle using Airtel Money, they receive a 25% bonus data, enabling seamless internet browsing and access to their favorite online content.

To buy airtime through Airtel Money using the *344# USSD Code, follow these simple steps:

    • Dial *334#
    • Select ‘Buy Airtime’
    • Choose ‘Self’
    • Enter the desired amount
    • Enter your PIN

Alternatively, if you prefer using the My Airtel App:

    • Select ‘Buy Airtime’
    • Enter the amount
    • Enter your PIN
