In our increasingly connected world, finding moments of peace and quiet can be a challenge. Thankfully, Instagram offers a feature known as “Quiet Mode” that allows you to pause notifications during specified hours, granting you some respite from the constant digital noise.

    What is Quiet Mode?

Quiet Mode on Instagram is a useful tool that allows you to automatically pause your notifications for a specified time period each day. By default, this period is set from 11 PM to 7 AM, but you can easily customize it to fit your schedule. When Quiet Mode is enabled, you can still use Instagram, send and receive messages, but your online status will indicate that you are “In quiet mode.” Moreover, the familiar green active dot will be replaced with a moon icon. People who message you during this time will receive an auto-reply explaining that you won’t be notified about their messages until Quiet Mode ends. Once Quiet Mode concludes, you’ll receive a summary of any notifications or messages received during that period.

    For iOS:

    1. Open Instagram and tap on your profile picture located in the bottom right corner to access your profile.
    2. In the top right corner, tap on “More Options,” represented by three horizontal lines.
    3. Scroll down and select “Settings & Privacy.”
    4. Within the “Settings & Privacy” menu, tap on “Notifications.”
    5. Look for “Quiet Mode” and tap on it.
    6. To activate or deactivate Quiet Mode, simply toggle the switch next to it.
    7. If you decide to turn on Quiet Mode, you can adjust the hours it remains active.

    For Android:

    1. Launch the Instagram app and tap on your profile picture, located at the bottom right of the screen, to access your profile.
    2. In the top right corner, tap on “More Options,” which is represented by three vertical dots.
    3. Scroll down the menu and select “Settings.”
    4. Under the “Settings” section, find and tap on “Notifications.”
    5. Locate “Quiet Mode” in the Notifications menu and tap on it.
    6. To enable or disable Quiet Mode, simply tap the toggle switch next to it.
    7. If you opt to activate Quiet Mode, you can customize the hours during which it is active to best suit your daily routine.

Remember that you can set it for up to 12 hours each day.
