Africa is on the cusp of a new era of e-commerce, and Sendy, the leading fulfillment and logistics enabler, is helping to lead the charge. With its latest offering, the Payment on Delivery product, Sendy is set to revolutionize the way online payments are made in Africa and increase sales for businesses in the process.

Online sales in Africa are projected to grow significantly in the coming years, and with 80% of customers currently not buying online due to security concerns, Sendy’s new product aims to bridge this gap. With Payment on Delivery, customers can inspect the state of their packages before making payments, providing peace of mind and confidence in their purchases.

This new service not only provides convenience and security, but also includes buyer protection, ensuring that customers will receive their exact ordered items and not fake products. Businesses will also be able to manage their payments effectively, thereby reducing sales losses.

To use Payment on Delivery, businesses simply select the option at checkout when placing their orders on the Sendy Fulfillment App. Payments will be collected and confirmed after delivery and immediately sent to the sellers, who will receive the money in their Sendy wallets.

Sendy is always looking for ways to improve the customer experience and the Payment on Delivery product is just the latest example of the company’s commitment to empowering businesses. With a portfolio of fulfillment services, including Direct Fulfillment, Smart Fulfillment, and All in one Fulfillment, Sendy is making it easier than ever for businesses of all sizes to move goods and drive efficiency and growth.

“We listened to the feedback from our sellers and their customers, and we are hopeful that offering payment on delivery will help to improve service delivery to them,” said Nyambura Karita, Chief Operations Officer. “We hope to give customers even more peace of mind and confidence in their Sendy experience.”

This new offering will provide customers with the confidence they need to buy online, while also helping businesses reach new customers and drive sales.
