Vivo Mobile has confirmed that it will be launching its color-changing smartphone, the vivo V23 5G, in Kenya next week. The company will be unveiling the phone on the 21st of February but it is yet to reveal the phone’s retail price.

The Vivo V23 5G is the country’s first smartphone with colour-changing back panels. This is made from Flourite AG glass, according to vivo.

Vivo V23 5G Specifications

The vivo V23 5G has a 6.44-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It has quite a wide notch at the top to house the front-facing camera. The display also has a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath. This display has a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ Support.

At the back it has a triple camera setup comprising of a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it does have a dual setup comprising of a 50MP main shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.

Powering the vivo V23 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset that is paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage space. It comes with Android 12 with Funtouch 0S 12.

A 4,200 mAh battery comes as standard and it does support 44W fast charging.

The phone is offered in Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold color options.

Vivo V23 5G: Pricing and availability in Kenya

The price is yet to be confirmed but in markets where it is available, the retail price is listed at around Ksh 46,000. We will know more about the price next week when the phone is officially unveiled.
