Realme has today officially unveiled two new smartphones into the Kenyan market. The two smartphones are the realme 7i and realme C12 that you can get on the market for Ksh 24,999 and Ksh 14,999 respectively.
With the launch of the realme C12 and realme 7i, the company has further expanded its portfolio to 6 smartphones in total with the other ones being the realme C3, realme C11, realme C15 and the realme 6. The other products under its belt available in Kenya include the realme Bank, Air Neo and Buds Q.
“In the spirit of dare to leap, realme has always asserted its commitment to providing an array of pioneering products. This is a journey that was kicked off in a bid to bring local consumers the best of trendsetting technologies and features,“ the company said in a statement.
Realme 7i specifications
The realme 7i comes with a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. This display has a 90Hz refresh rate which is quite impressive and will be a big deal if realme keeps the price that I indicated above. This display is protected with Corning Gorilla 3.
Under the hood the realme 7i is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor (octa-core). This is paired with either 4 or 8GB of RAM with either 64 or 128GB of internal storage space. It comes with Android 10 out of the box with realme UI on top.
For your photos, the realme 7i has a quad setup at the back that is made up of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide angle sensor, 2MP monochrome sensor and another 2MP sensor. For selfies, the phone features a 16MP Sony sensor.
Providing all the power is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. This is not very fast but it should save you some time when charging.

Realme C12
The realme C12, on the other hand, comes with a 6000mAh mega battery that supports reverse charging. It comes with an Helio G35 Octa-core 64 bits processor that lets the user enjoy gaming without the phone slowing down or restarting. For security purposes, realme C12 comes with a screen-to-body ratio instant fingerprint sensor that allows only the phone user to have access to the phone once authenticated.
Equipped with a 6.5-inch 20:9 screen, realme C12 brings a larger field of view, provides an excellent game, audio, and video experience. This allows you to enjoy a wider field of view brought by the large screen and less visual disturbance while giving you an experience of the near-full screen.

really impressed by the Realme C12 but the Realme 7i with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor is not something I would consider as SD 600 series is really poor in performance.
