Vivo has just announced a sizeable discount for one of its latest smartphones, the vivo Y1S. This is one of the recent smartphones from the company to launch in Kenya but we did not see the same publicity given to some of its other devices like the V19 that I reviewed recently.

The vivo Y1s is an entry level smartphone and has just been discounted to Ksh 10,600. This was shared by vivo through its social media pages as you can see below.

It is not clear if this is a permanent discount or if it will be temporary. Either way, it is still a good price drop and may be a good opportunity to grab one.

On Jumia, the phone is still listed for Ksh 13,500 so the discounted price may be available through offline retailers for now.

Below is a look at some of the key specifications of the vivo Y1s.

Display: 6.22 inches IPS LCD  display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels
    Processor:  MediaTek Helio P35
    RAM: 2GB
Storage: 32 GB internal storage; expandable
    Cameras: 13MP back, 5MP front-facing camera
    SIM: dual SIM
    Battery: 4,030 mAh battery
Android:  Android 10.0; Funtouch OS 10.5
