Oppo’s Spinoff Brand Realme Debuts First Smart TV Powered by Android and Dolby Atmos

The Indian market is attracting lots of investment from Chinese brands. OnePlus and Xiaomi have lots of stuff going in the market, and Oppo’s spinoff brand Realme is also up and ready to take on the competition.

Last year we saw Xiaomi and OnePlus bolster their offerings in India launching Android-powered smart TVs.

Now, Oppo’s spinoff brand, Realme, wants to jump on this bandwagon introducing a smart TV. The company has just debuted its first Android TV-powered smart TV in India.

The smart TV comes in two models; 32-inch HD panel and 43-inch FHD(1080p) panel. With Android TV baked in, both models can access apps like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Spotify, Hulu, among others.

Android TV also has Google Assistant baked inside so you can get your favorite show playing on the big screen, all hands-free.

Realme Smart TV delivers Ultra-Bright pictures from the LED panels, which can go up to a maximum brightness of 400nits thanks to the “Chroma Boost Picture Engine.”

The design is pretty Bezel-Less as per the recent modern TV design trends. For better sound, Realme Smart TV panels have 24W Dolby Quad Stereo Speakers.

Under the hood matters to you, here’s what you get; MediaTek Quadcore processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. The base 32-inch HD model is priced at Rs. 12,999, approx. $170 and the bigger 43-inch FHD model at Rs. 21,999, approx. $290.

The company also launched a 100W five-speaker system soundbar.
