The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is now available in retail outlets in Kenya. This is one of the latest smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer and you can get it in Kenya for Ksh 25,000 on Jumia.

To start, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a massive 6.67-inch display with the familiar punch hole design that has been placed on the top of the display. I actually prefer the placement of the punch hole here over the left or right of the display panel. The fingerprint sensor on this phone is mounted on the side

On the Redmi Note 9S, Xiaomi has fitted it with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chip that has been paired with either 4 or 6 gigs of RAM. The version listed on Jumia and going for Ksh 25,000 is the 6GB variant with 128GB of internal storage space

As for the cameras, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has a quad setup at the back made up of a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For the front facing camera, we are getting a 16MP lens that supports panorama shots and full HD video recording to 30fps.

One of the key selling points of this phone is the 5,020 mAh battery that is comes with. This battery supports 18W fast charging, quite impressive and not that common of a feature within this price especially with the top smartphone manufacturers.
