OPPO is about to refresh its line up with the launch of the OPPO Find X in Kenya. When the phone was first announced back in June, I was sure the company will skip Kenya as it takes the phone to other markets. I swore by this and this the response I gave everyone who asked me if the company had any plans to bring this phone to the country. The price the company revealed at the launch event was just too high and I did not think it was ready to take the risk and launch the phone in Kenya.

Well, it looks like I was wrong and OPPO is taking the risk and will be launching the Find X in Kenya. The OPPO Find X in Kenya will be a limited device and this means that you will not get it in most retail stores where you can find devices such as the OPPO F7. It makes sense to launch the OPPO Find X in Kenya as an exclusive device as it is not in the same price range as the F7 or any other smartphone from the company. This is a way for the company to show the local market that it can be innovative and make device that you will not see with other manufacturers.

Speaking of the price, you should be ready to part with Ksh 100,000 if you want to walk away with the Find X. This is in the same territory as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (yet to be launched in Kenya). This is not cheap by any standards but it is worth it in OPPO’s eyes.

The OPPO Find X stands out from other devices on the market as it is an all display smartphone with a motorized camera. The company managed to have an all display front panel with no notch and this got people talking. The motorized camera makes the phone stand out and sets the phone apart from others. The Find X is the most impressive smartphone from OPPO in my opinion and I will be keen to see how it performs in Kenya. Not that many people may be able to buy it but I believe there are some who are able.

    OPPO A3s and F9

Besides the Find X, OPPO also has plans to launch another smartphone, the A3s in Kenya this or next month. Its price is yet to be confirmed but we will know that very soon. In addition to these two, OPPO will also launch the R9 in Kenya next month. I will update you on these two phones if and when I get more information.

Below are some of the key specifications of the OPPO Find X.
