It looks like things are not so smooth for Twitter as the company is restructuring by laying off over 300 employees. This news has come as a shock to most people as we all knew that the company had troubles making money but we did not expect it to take such drastic measures.

Referring to this restructuring, Twitter said “The restructuring is part of an overall plan to organize around the Company’s top product priorities and drive efficiencies throughout the Company. The Company intends to reinvest savings in its most important priorities to drive growth.”

Making Money?

Twitter has been trying for ages to make money but it has not been that successful. This recent move is meant to help the company save some money here and there as it tries to be profitable. This comes just days after Twitter got a new CEO.

It will take time for us to say if the restructuring is successful on not. Twitter will also have to try a little harder if it is to attract advertisers to use its services. Most advertisers still do not see the importance of using Twitter’s advertising services even though it is a very popular social networking platform.
