Facebook: No More Dislike Button?

2015 10 08 18 12 22

For some years now, Facebook users have been craving for a dislike button. Facebook finally decided to give in to the demands of the users and they have been teasing about adding a “dislike” button for some time now.
However, Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook had concerns on how the users of the most social network website would use this button. He insisted that the button would be meant to show empathy and not as a way to discriminate against other users or posts…yeah right!
You and I clearly know what the button would be used for and Facebook knew this as well, and to this reason the idea of a dislike button was scrapped and a better idea of “REACTIONS” was born.

Facebook Reactions

How it works

Reactions is an extension of the Like button that gives people more ways to share their reaction to a post in a quick and easy way. Instead of liking or disliking a certain post, Reactions will allow you to choose between a number of different emotions, including love, awe, humor and sadness. Once available, you can access the new Reactions by long pressing on the Like button, and selecting your desired emotion from there.
