Toy World has opened a virtual store on Jumia Kenya to keep abreast of the consumer trends and cater for the seemingly growing population of Kenyans shopping online.
Established 20 years ago and with six modern branches across the country, Toy world stocks toys for pre-school children, young kids, teenagers and adults from Barbie dolls, lego building toys, vtech educational toys, , fisher price toys ,board games , jigsaw puzzles , party items , activity toys, children bicycles and video games among others. In July this year, Jumia opened its website to external suppliers to sell on the site a move that saw brands such as Bata, Armco, Nairobi Sports House, and thousands of Small business enterprises establish virtual stores on the platform.

Consumer confidence when purchasing online has been the drawback in Kenya, with many afraid of buying counterfeit products. However, by allowing its customers to pay on delivery with a flexible return and exchange policy of 7 days, JUMIA has been able to override these products and ensure consumer confidence.
