Google Plans To Raise $10 Million To Fight Ebola

You might all have heard about the Ebola menace that is causing havok in West African Countries.Morocco had to cancel its hosting decision of the African Cup of Nations due to fears of spread and out break of Ebola.However Google has set up a savings and donation scheme website where one can contribute as little as $ 10 and amounts as high as $1000,from which the company will “match”each donation to its own.This means that for example,foe every $1 Google will give $2,with the company aiming at raising a total of $7.5 million for nonprofits working to stop the spread of the deadly virus in West Africa.

The donations will then  evenly distributed among four charities: Doctors Without Borders, International Rescue Committee, Partners in Health and Save the Children. Google said it will pay all transaction fees so that the full amount is donated to the charities.Futhermore Google plans to contribute $10 million to seven charities involved in Ebola relief.

Larry Page, one of the co-founders of the internet search engine, said his family fund will donate another $15 million,adding on that,”Our hearts go out to everyone whose lives have been touched by this tragedy,”on his official blog post.
