Apple has scheduled a huge event for September 9 and my guess is that it will use it to unveil their next flagship device, the iPhone 6. The company has been having a difficult time setting the date to launch the iPhone 6 as delays in production of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 variant mean that it will not be ready till later this year.
For Apple to set the date this early, it seems confident that the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 variant will be ready by then, the 5.5 inch variant will probably be delayed till December.
Shipping of the iPhone 6 will start immediately and is expected to hit the stores as early as September 19th.
It is believed that Apple will use this event to also unveil its Smartwatch, the iWatch.
Apple is expected to hold another event in October where it will unveil the 5.5-inch iPhone 6, the iPad mini 3 and the iPad Air 2.
