The windows phone ecosystem is about to get even more competitive with new manufacturers who had pledged their support sometime last year. One of these manufacturers is Xolo, an Indian based Smartphone manufacturer.

The company has officially announced its first ever windows phone Smartphone dubbed Xolo WIN Q900s. This device is currently available on pre-order but will launch officially in July going for €122 (approximately Kshs. 15,000).

The biggest selling point for the Xolo WIN Q900s is its weight that comes in at about 100g. This makes it the second lightest Windows Phone Smartphone after Allview Impera i that weighs 98.9g.

The Xolo WIN Q900s has a 4.7 inch screen with an HD resolution of 1280×720 pixel. This is quite impressive for this Smartphone given its price range. Under the frame we have a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB of RAM. Storage space is limited with only 8GB available but the good news is that a microSD slot is available to expand to up to 32GB.

At the back is an 8MP camera with LED flash. The front facing camera is 2MP for all your selfies. This phone will support two SIM cards, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
