Microsoft has been rumoured to be working on a new Smartwatch for sometime but no concrete evidence has surfaced to prove this. It will make sense for the company to come up with a Smartwatch in the near future considering its rivals have already done so.

Rumours that surfaced over the weekend indicate that Microsoft is indeed working on a Smartwatch that will be unveiled this October. One key thing about this Smartwatch is its cross-platform compatibility that will give it an advantage over the rest. this means that it can work with Windows Phone, Android and even iOS.

The rumours also suggest that the display of this Smartwatch will be on the inner portion of the wrist. This is quite different from the outer-wrist display we are used to on watches. What Microsoft is planning here is a mystery that will be unveiled in October.

This rumoured Smartwatch is believed to ditch the larger design currently seen on smartwatches and settle for a ‘slim band’. This is probably meant to make the Smartwatch more appealing for both men and women.

As for what powers this Smartwatch, we are still not sure but don’t be surprised if you find a special Windows phone OS version for wearables.
