5 Smartphones Under Ksh 10,000 Worth Checking Out

Top5

Gone are the days when smartphones under Ksh 10,000 were not worth looking at twice. These days, you can get a decent smartphone for this price. This year, we have seen a good number of good smartphones under Ksh 10,000 that really impressed me.

Below are some good smartphones you can get in Kenya right now for less than Ksh 10,000. I have included a link to each if they are available on some of the major e-commerce platforms in Kenya. Before you buy the following smartphones online, just know that most offline retailers may have them at prices lower than what the e-commerce sites are selling them for.

Tecno Spark 2

The Tecno Spark 2 was and still is one of the best smartphones under Ksh 10,000 that I have used this year. The phone just works, it is not perfect but from my experience with it, it outshines most other smartphones in this category.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6A is another good smartphone you can get for less than Ksh 10,000. The phone is available in the country from Ksh 9.500 and looking at what it offers, you are definitely getting value for your money here.

The Huawei Y5 Lite

This is the latest smartphone from Huawei to be launched in Kenya. The Y5 Lite is available on Jumia for Ksh 9,500 and this is pretty much the same price you will get it for from most retailers. The Huawei Y5 Lite is an Android Go smartphone and this means it comes with a tweaked version of Android that works well with devices that come with 1GB of RAM or less.

The Nokia 2.1

The Nokia 2.1 is also another reliable smartphone that you can get for less than 10k. The phone was officially unveiled in Kenya back in August and in my opinion, it is one of the best affordable smartphones from HMD Global that you can get in Kenya at the moment. The Nokia 2.1 is available on Jumia for Ksh 8,500, a reasonable price if you ask me.

The Infinix Smart 2

The last device under 10k that I think is worth checking out is the Infinix Smart 2. This is one of the cheapest smartphones Infinix is currently selling and it is an Android Go smartphone too. The Smart 2 is available from Ksh 9,400 all the way up to 11,000 depending on where you get it from. It is a decent phone from Infinix and I am surprised the company did not spend much marketing it.
