Its build quality and performance is unmatched when you are looking at smartphones in this price range. If you are looking for a smartphone that looks the part and performs as you expect it to and retails for less that Ksh 10,000, you should definitely check out the Cubot Note S.

The Fero Royale X1 is one other smartphone I really loved when I reviewed it last year. Fero is owned by MidCom, one of the biggest smartphone distributors in East Africa. The Royale X1 is the premium device from the company and has some specs you expect on devices retailing for Ksh 15,000 and above.
