The Infinix Note 2 and the Cubot Note S are two devices that make up the low ‘mid-range’ market segment. These devices are meant to be low end ones but are not the cheapest ones from the specific manufacturers.
The Infinix Note 2 has been around for about two months now while the Cubot Note S was launched in the country a few days ago. These devices have a lot of similarities and the Cubot Note S reminds me of the original Infinix Hot Note which came with a very low price and decent specs. The Hot Note was very successful in terms of sales and Cubot may have noticed this and that is why the company decided to come up with its own device to rival Infinix. If this is the case, Cubot may be playing catch up as the recently launched Infinix Note 2 is the second device in this lineup.

Design and display
The Infinix Note 2 has a bigger form factor compared to the Cubot Note S. The design of the Note 2 is a bit more appealing to me compared to that of the Note S. As for the display, the Note 2 has a 6 inch one with a 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Cubot Note S on the other hand has a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Performance
The Infinix Note 2 is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with either 1GB/2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage space and the Mali-T720 GPU. From this combination, the Note 2 is clearly the winner.
