Below is a look at some of the key specs of the Cubot Note S and its price in Kenya.
Cubot Note S Specifications
[table id=22 /]
As you can see from the specs above, the Cubot Note S is an interesting device considering that it will be retailing for less than Ksh 10,000. It brings competition directly to the Infinix Note 2.
Design and display
The Cubot Note S has a decent design with curved edges. For the display, it has a 5.5 inch one with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. This gives it a pixel density of 267 ppi which is not the highest but is still quite good.
Performance
The Cubot Note S is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core MediaTek MTK6580 processor. This is not the most recent processor from MediaTek but we will not complain so much given that the price of the phone is not that high. I would have hoped for an Octa Core CPU as that is the only way this phone would have won in the performance department when compared to the Infinix Note 2. For the GPU, it has a Mali-400 MP.
RAM and Memory
The Cubot Note S comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. This space can be expanded up to 32GB by using a MicroSD card. Am personally impressed as Cubot decided to include 2GB of RAM as we are used to 1GB of RAM from most smartphones within this price range.
Camera Specs
As for the camera the Cubot Note S has an 8MP unit at the back with a 5MP one in front. The back camera uses a 4P Lens and a high bright 1A flash which improves the analytic capacity of the camera. We will have to judge how good these two cameras are when we do an official review.
Battery
The battery of this phone is one of its appealing features. It has a 4150 mAh unit that can easily get you through the whole day.
Price in Kenya
The Cubot Note S is available in Kenya from Ksh 8,888 on Kilimall and Ksh 9,999 on Avechi.
How would you rate Cubot VS Infinix?
Cubot has not been very aggressive or different with its devices so infinix still wins. The company has curved a segment for itself and we sort of know what to expect. At this point, we are never sure what to expect from Cubot so that’s why Infinix is still on top.
Thanks mate!
