Sony’s Concept Marshmallow Build Is Now Available For Xperia Devices in A Few European Markets

android marshmallow update 970 80

At the beginning of this month, Sony said that it will be rolling out its Concept for Android initiative. This is a program launched this year to give Xperia owners a chance to beta test Android OS updates before Sony pushes it out to all Xperia owners.

Sony has revealed that the Concept Marshmallow has started rolling out to Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact devices. Sony revealed that this initiative will allow up to 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners to beta test Android 6.0 Marshmallow when it is available. Well, the update is available and the initiative has kicked off.

Availability is Limited

Unfortunately, the initiative is only available in select European countries so it is not available to everyone. Probably the program will expand to other countries as we move forward. Some of the countries that can take part in this program include Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany.

The build will be rolling out in the next few weeks so don’t lose it if you do not have it on your device. The company says that it has released a few more invites as interest in the program has been more than what they expected.

If you want to take part, you can take part by downloading the app on your Sony device by clicking here. Hurry while you can still get the invite as spaces are limited.
