The smartphone market is saturated with new manufacturers coming in every so often. Pepsi is one company that wants a share of the smartphone market as the company has expressed interest in launching its first Android powered smartphone.
We first heard of this a few days ago and though it was just an unsubstantiated rumor and so we decided not to publish it. It did not seem possible for Pepsi to even consider making a smartphone, why would they?
It now seems that we were wrong and Pepsi is really considering making a smartphone in the near future. The company has just confirmed this to Reuters. To break it down for you, Pepsi will just be licensing its brand to a smartphone manufacturer so it will not be diving all in in the smartphone market. This move is better than the company investing fully in smartphone division as it is cheaper and helps Pepsi get into the market much faster.
Pepsi refused to give out details about this phone but that doesn’t do anything for us as we already have the specs for this phone.
