Huawei P8

Competition in the smartphone space has been getting tougher with each passing day leading to some of the big players in the sector to lose market share. Even with increased competition, manufacturers, especially from China, are getting aggressive as they try their luck in this sector. Most of these manufacturers have seen positive results as their market shares grow significantly.

One such manufacturer is Huawei that has seen impressive growth figures especially in its home country, China. Huawei is even expected to be the first Chinese smartphone manufacturers to exceed the 100million unit sales this year.

Huawei is growing very fast and according to the recent results released, the company managed to ship over 48.1 million units during the first half of 2015. This represents a growth of over 87% from the same period last year. This is quite a huge jump for the company and reaching the 100 million mark will not be hard especially with the Huawei P8 already in the market and doing well.

Huawei has also revealed that in May and June this year, it sold 10 million units each month meaning that it has seen impressive sales figures ever since the Huawei P8 went on sale. With the latest sales figures, Huawei becomes the third largest smartphone manufacturer in terms of sales.

Later this year, Huawei will unveil the Mate 8 flagship at the IFA trade show and this might just help it go beyond the 100 million mark.
