Huawei Has Shipped Over 50 Million Handsets since the Beginning of the Year

Huawei P8

With increased competition in the smartphone industry, we all expect some of the top manufacturers to see slow growth and low sales figures. This may be what we expect but the reality on the ground is far from this. One company that has proved us wrong is Huawei.

Huawei has revealed that it shipped over 50 million units for the first six months of this year. This represents a growth of 46% compared to the same period last year where it sold just over 34 million units. These figures may have been helped by the company’s latest flagship, the Huawei P8.

As for revenue, the company reports that it amounted to $6.9 billion for the first six months of 2015. Huawei hopes that the second half of the year will be as good as the first as it plans to launch the Huawei P8max.

The Huawei P8max has a massive 6.8 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels among other features. The smartphone is a magnified version of the Huawei P8 THAT Huawei hopes will help drive more sales.
