Jumia Mobile Week Megathon Has Started Today and Here Are the Smartphones You Can Get At Discounted Prices

Jumia has been disrupting the market ever since it started its operations in Kenya.  Last month, the company promised to hold a Mobile Week Megathon that has started today. The Megathon is a week long event that will see exclusive deals on some of the most popular low end Smartphones currently available on Kenya.

During the launch event, Jumia also released its first white paper entitled ‘The growth of the Smartphone market in Kenya’ with input and contributions from the worlds top brands. You can read more about this from Jumia’s own website by clicking here.

The paper, “The growth of smartphone market in Kenya” looks in detail at the evolution of the smartphone market in Kenya as well as consumer behaviours in relation to smartphone purchases. Findings within the report are based on a qualitative research conducted by Jumia.

“Kenya is uniquely positioned with a young and growing middle-class generation eager for the next new smartphone with a strong value proposition in the market. There seems to be a shift from brand loyalty into value propositions of the phone”

Fly mobile and Innjoo also launched their newest brands Fly Mobile Eclipse 3 and Innjoo fire to sell exclusively on Jumia for Ksh. 4,999 and Ksh. 7,888. Adding into the voice, Microsoft Mobile Devices, Infinix, Samsung and Tecno unveiled new prices exclusive for the Jumia Mobile week.

The Jumia mobile week sale is strongly supported by Airtel Kenya after the two companies struck a deal to offer 6GB data bundle – 1GB per month for 6 months for all hero deals phones purchased during the mobile week. Additionally, Mediatek, the leading chipset manufacturer worldwide, was a sponsor for Jumia Mobile Week.

Customers who purchase mobile handsets during the sale will enjoy countrywide delivery that Jumia offers alongside the option to pay on delivery and a flexible return and exchange policy of 7 days. Furthermore, customers can pay via mobile money, cash, or credit card.
