Microsoft Build 2015 conference helped Microsoft officially introduce a number of products to consumers. One of the key things the company seems to be focusing on is getting rid of the software fragmentation of its Windows platform. This is the main thing the company hopes to achieve with Windows 10.
Microsoft hopes that the introduction of Windows 10 will be the first step to getting over 1 billion people on its Windows platform in the next 3 years. Windows 10 is a universal OS version that can be run on PCs, Smartphones, tablets and other devices.
Expecting to have over 1 billion users is quite optimistic for Microsoft but still achievable. The company also said that the official name of its upgraded web browser will be Microsoft Edge and it will run on all laptops, PCs, tablets, Smartphones among others.
