LG unveils the LG G4 with a 16MP Main Camera Capable of Shooting 4K Videos

LG has just unveiled its latest flagship Smartphone, the LG G4 that will take on the Samsung Galaxy S6, Xperia, the iPhone 6 among others The LG G4 continues the legacy of the G series and introduces a ton of new features that make it stand out.

What Makes The LG G4 Unique?

The LG G4 has a 5.5 inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. This display has a better contrast and is much brighter than its predecessor the LG G3. According to LG, the tech behind this screen is Quantum IPS and guarantees to save power by up to 11%.

The phone has slight warps that protect it from damages when it drops. This phone weighs about 155g and is 9.8 thin. This is quite acceptable given its size. LG says that it put into consideration user feedback when designing this Smartphone. The company said that most of its customers did not mind having thicker Smartphones with large removable batteries.

Under the frame, the LG G4 has 2GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor. LG used this processor instead of the high spec Snapdragon 810 processor as it has lower heat output. This processor is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded using a MicroSD card.

As for the camera, the LG G4 has a 16MP main camera and an 8MP front facing camera. LG says that the rear camera is capable of shooting 4K video. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports all the usual stuff including WiFi direct, Bluetooth 4.1 and LTE.

Providing the power is a 3000mAh battery that supports quick charging. LG says that the G4 can charge more than half its battery in just 30 minutes.

LG hasn’t announced the price and availability of the G4. We will update you as we get more information.
