Asus Hopes To Sell Over 30 Million Zenfone Units This Year

The Smartphone marketing is growing by the day and manufacturers are seeing positive results as we go along. One such manufacture is Asus and the company expects to sell over 30 million Zenfone units this year. Asus is hopeful given that its latest flagship, the Asus Zenfone 2 has seen positive reception. Previously, Asus expected to sell 25 Million Zenfone units this year but had to adjust the figures upwards given the positive reception the Zenfone 2 got.

The Asus Zenfone 2 was introduced early this year at CES and comes in two variants, one with 2GB of RAM and the other one with 4GB of RAM. The Zenfone 2 stole the show at CES as at the time of its announcement, it was the only Smartphone with 4GB of RAM.

The Asus Zenfone 2 will start shipping 2 million units a month in May. By June, it will be shipping between 2.5 and 3 Million units per month. This will hopefully keep the company in line to sell the over 30 million units by the end of the year.

Some other features you will find in the Zenfone 2 include a 64-bit quad-core 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor, 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, 13MP rear camera with dual-colour “Real Tone” LED flash with a 5MP wide-angled front facing camera among other features.

Besides the Zenfone units, Asus expects positive results from its smartwatches, the ZenWatch and VivoWatch. The company hopes to sell between 300,000 to 500,000 units by the end of the year.
