Xiaomi Plans To Sell Over 80 Million Smartphones This Year

Xiaomi is one aggressive Smartphone manufacturer that has been grabbing our attention for sometime now. The company has seen tremendous growth over the last few years and hopes that this year will be its best yet.

Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun announced that the company hopes to sell between 80and 100 million smart phones this year. If the company achieves these sales targets, 2015 will be its best year so far.

Last year, the company sold over 61 million Smartphones. This was impressive but selling between 80 and 100 million Smartphones this year will be even better. Keep in mind that Xiaomi is only available in select markets (mostly in Asia) and is still able to sell over 61 million units in a year. What if it goes global? How many units will it sell?

Xiaomi is banking on suppliers to be on time for it to achieve its targets this year. All we can do right now is wait and see what Xiaomi plans this year.

The company also announced that it will be launching new products at the end of this month but we still are not sure what exactly these ‘products’ are.
