The LG G4 is going to be the company’s next flagships Smartphone that will be unveiled later on in the year. LG is planning to change things with the LG G4 as competition in the mobile space gets tougher by the day.

According to Cho Juno, LG’s head of mobile, the LG G4 will be ‘radically different’ from anything the company has ever produced. The changes will not just be on design but the inner components will also be changed.

According to the Korean Times, the LG G4 will have plastic frames and not the polycarbonate casings we have seen before. The software on the G4 will also see some major changes to ensure the user experience is improved.

“We will announce LG UX 4.0 before announcing the LG G4,” Cho told reporters. “I think it is simply the best and the issue is how to best fit the new UX system into the G4 Smartphone.”

The LG G4 will also have a high performance processor that LG is currently working on. This means that LG may ditch the Snapdragon 810 processor that it is currently using on the LG G Flex 2.

“Producing our own mobile application chips is very important,” he said. “As LG Electronics has been consistent in developing these, we plan to gradually incorporate them into our new models.”

Having a better performing LG G4 will put LG on the same competition level as Samsung that recently unveiled the Galaxy S6 that is a completely new device in terms of design and features.
