Google Is Currently Offering an Extra 2GB of Google Drive Storage Space If You Follow These Instructions

googledriveandroid

If you are running low on storage space on your Google Drive account, there is some good news as Google wants to add you up to 2GB of extra space.

Google is doing this as part of its safer Internet Day celebrations. All you have to do is follow a few Security Chekup steps and you get your extra 2GB. The Checkup steps are as listed below:

  1. Ensure your account recovery information is current
  2. Reviewing your recent sign-in activity
  3. Confirm the apps and devices that’ve accessed your account information

The whole process took me less than a minute to complete. However, you will not get the extra 2GB directly. You will have to wait until February 28 for the extra storage space to be availed to you. This offer is for those who will have completed the security setup process by February 17.

After going through the steps, you will see a confirmation (similar to the one above) confirming your completion. This means that you are eligible for the extra 2GB of storage space. Google will send you an email when storage space is available for your account.

To complete the security checkup, follow this link.
