The Microsoft Lumia 532 is one of the latest Lumia Smartphones that has been announced by Microsoft, the other one is the Lumia 435. The Lumia 435 is the cheapest windows phone device followed by the Lumia 532.
The Lumia 532 is an entry level Smartphone that joins the Lumia 535 that was announced late last years. Let’s take a close look at some of the specs of the Lumia 532.
Design
The Lumia 532 has the same design as that of the Nokia X2. It has sharp corners and not the curved corners we have come to associate Lumia Smartphones with. This is not a bad design in any way but personally, I would appreciate the curved corners.
The Lumia 532 measures 118.9 x 65.5 x 11.6 mm and weighs 136.3 g. It has a polycarbonate back cover with different colour options available. These include green, white, orange and white. Just like all the recent Lumia Smartphones, the Lumia 532 has the volume keys and power button on the right. The MicroUSB slot is on the bottom and the headphone jack is on top of the Smartphone.
Display
The Lumia 532 has a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. This translates to a resolution of 233 pixel density. These may not be great figures but considering the phone will retail for less than Kshs. 9,000, no one should complain.
RAM and Memory
The Lumia 532 has 1GB of RAM. This is not a top of the line RAM but for its price, we can’t complain. It is paired with Adreno 302 GPU to give you better graphics performance. The Lumia 532 is only available in 8GB memory size but this can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card. Microsoft also offers 30GB of free cloud storage.
CPU and OS
The Lumia 532 is powered by a Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor. This has speeds of up to 1.2GHz. The Lumia 532 is running Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 8.1. With this Smartphone, you are sure to be getting the latest OS and regular updates from Microsoft.
Camera Specs
The Lumia 532 offers a 5 MP main camera with 480p video recording capabilities. The front facing camera is a 0.3MP unit that is quite disappointing to say the least.
Battery
The Lumia 532 has a 1560 mAh battery with a maximum standby time of 22 days.
