We first saw the Samsung Galaxy A7 last week when Samsung showcased it in Malaysia when it was unveiling the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. The Galaxy A7 stands out as being the thinnest Galaxy Smartphone currently on the market. The Galaxy A7 joins the growing list of Galaxy ‘A’ Smartphones with a metallic frames. Introducing Smartphones with metallic frames is part of Samsung’s strategy to appeal to those who want premium looking Smartphones.
The Galaxy A7 supports LTE and is available in single and dual SIM models. It will go on sale in the next 4-8 weeks. This is a really impressive Smartphone with high-end specs that we are going to see in a minute. Below is a closer look at some of the Galaxy A7’s specs.
Display: The Samsung Galaxy A7 has a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display.
RAM and Memory: Both the single and dual SIM models will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There is a microSD card slot to expand the memory up to 64GB.
CPU and OS: The Samsung Galaxy A7 will have either a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC or a 32-bit Exynos 5430 chipsets. The Snapdragon 615 chipset has an Octa-core CPU (1.5GHz quad core A53 + 1.0GHz quad core A53). The Exynos 5430 chipset has a 1.8GHz quad core processor+ 1.3GHz quad core processor. The Galaxy A7 is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat with Lollipop update coming soon.
Camera Specs: The Galaxy A7 has a 13MP main camera and 5MP wide angled front facing camera.
Battery Specs: Galaxy A7 has a 2,600mAh battery. Samsung has not yet revealed how long the battery will last but expect those figures to be availed as time goes by.
