We all know that smartwatches are here to stay. What we don’t know is what the future holds for them in terms of functionality and features. For some time now, the Smartwatch industry has been dominated by the big players including Samsung and LG. Alcatel hopes to change all this with its new Smartwatch with its new OneTouch Watch.
The Alcatel OneTouch Watch is quite different from most of what is on the market as it does not run on Google’s Android Wear. In place of Android Wear, Alcatel has decided to go with its own OS that can support both iOS and Android devices.
For your Smartphone to be compatible with the Operating System on this Smartwatch, it must either be running Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and higher, or iOS 7.
The Alcatel OneTouch Watch has a circular 1.22 inch display that makes it really appealing. it also has a 10.5mm thick body under which you will find the accelerometer, heart rate sensor, gyro, altimeter, among other features. To make it practical, Alcatel has made it resistant to dust and water with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
With the Alcatel OneTouch Watch, you can track your steps, sleep, calories burned and distance covered.
The OneTouch Watch has a 210mAh battery that Alcatel claims can last you between 2 to 5 days.
