Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi displays the Airtel Money Premier VISA card 900x400

Airtel has today  launched a revamped SMS subscription service that will enable its customers in Kenya to purchase SMS bundles that they can use for sending sms to any network in Kenya. This innovative proposition will give Airtel prepaid customers the freedom to  choose from the available dynamic bundles ranging from daily, weekly and monthly bundles.

To use the service, customers will be required to dial *767#, and select the bundle that they prefer. The smallest bundle consists of 6 SMS for only Ksh3 daily and the largest bundle consists of 1500 SMS where a customer will send an SMS at 5 Cents per SMS.

While announcing the new service, Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi said, “At Airtel, we continuously place our customers experience as a top priority. It is with this reason that   we aim to give our customers throughout Kenya greater freedom by offering them access to affordable superior quality communication and service on our network to make it easy for them to keep in touch with family and friends with ease during this festive season.”

The service will have unique, first-in-the market innovative features such as checking SMS balance free of charge, ability to choose between a one-off or auto-renewable bundle, and rolling over any unused SMS in the daily renewable bundle to the next day.
