Android is definitely the most popular and most used gadget and device OS in over 80% of all Smart phones and tablets in the world. Its quite easy and user friendly to use than other rival OS developers, like IOS from Apple, least forgetting the numerous free apps found in the goggle play store. Unlike other app stores of different Os developers,Android offers more than half of free apps in its play store which are either for sale in other Os stores or non existent.

Android has experienced evolutions and changes to the recent Kit kat version ,each version giving or may be rather promising better and more features to ensure efficiency and improved performance.Rumors now suggest of a new an upcoming Os to be named Lollipop.

Whats New?

Tech Crunch points out the following Expected New features in brief

  • A new notifications system that appears on the lock screen, with smart filters to limit notifications at certain times
  • 5,000+ new APIs for developers to tap
  • Google’s new system run time, ART, is officially replacing DALVIK after a preview of the system in Kit Kat. The new run time compiles apps more efficiently, which should improve overall system performance
  • A battery management system (once referred to as “Project Volta”) that Google says can extend your battery by up to 90 minutes.

Android Lollipop will feature in the  Nexus 6 and Nexus 9, but Google says its coming to the Nexus 5, 7, 10, and the myriad “Google Play Edition” devices.Personally the Os tag is kinda catchy and fun for many Android Lovers and users, hoping it will have more better features and feature in low end budget devices.
