Last weekend on the 24th of August Easy Taxi hosted its very first football tournament for all its taxi drivers. The drivers from different commutes came together to form 2 teams dubbed‘Team Yaya’ and ‘Team Digital’. Both teams wenthead to head in a tournament that was held at High Ridge secondary school in Parklands. After the2-hour game with a break in between, the taxi drivers proved to bevery good on their feet and Team Yayaeventually emerged as the winners after a penalty shootout that ended with scores of 3-2.
The aim of the tournament is to get all the taxi drivers out of their work zone to have some fun and games while at the same time strengthen the Easy Taxi community. This is the first of many CSR events that Easy Taxi will host for their Taxi Drivers. It provides a good platform for drivers from all over Nairobi to meet and engage with each other outside their regular work behind the wheel.

How does Easy Taxi work?
Available for bothAndroid andiOS, this service is a sure and reliable way of transportation in Nairobi. It’s easy and safe; all you have to do is download the app – it will identify your location through GPS and once thecurrent location has been detected, just tab‘request taxi’. The app will then scan around for a taxi nearby you and assign the closest one to your location, thereby ensuring that minimal time is taken to arrive attheir required destination. The customer pays the driver once they arrive at their desired location.
