Exclusive: Jumia Kenya Rolls out Back to School online store and promo for students


Kenya’s leading online retailer JUMIA Kenya has today rolled out its Back to School online store with a promotion giving students a chance to win incredible prizes and go back to school in style.


The back to school online store comes with different categories including school accessories, books, stationery, Mobile phones, laptops and tablets among other products and students will enjoy free deliveries anywhere in Kenya.

In this unique promotion, students across all levels are encouraged to participate in the different competitions on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Winners will take home a Huawei Ascend Y300, XtouchPhonetab PF83 and an Asus T100 Transformerbook worth ksh. 45,000 among other prizes.

The Back to School runs from the 20th August 2014 until September 12th.

Contestants will be required to post a photo of their best holiday moment on Instagram, post the photo and tag their friends with the hashtag #JumiaBackToSchool. The photo with the most likes wins a Huawei Ascend Y300 with the contest running from 20thAugust 2014 and ending on the 28th August 2014 at exactly 12:00noon.The winner will be announced on the 28th August 2014.

The twitter campaign will then kick off on the 27th August 2014, contestants will be required to tweet under the hashtag #myjumiabacktoschool…. to stand a chance to win an XtouchPhonetabPF83, with the tweep with the most tweets being announced winner on the 28th August 2014 at 12:00noon.

The Facebook competition will then follow with the lucky winner getting a chance to win an Asus T100 Transformer book worth Ksh. 45,899.
