For the longest time now, Samsung has been rumoured to be working on a high end device to take the iPhone head on. This device has been referred to as the Galaxy Alpha and will probably be launched a few weeks before or after the iPhone 6 is launched.

The latest proof that indicates the Galaxy Alpha is coming soon is from an executive in the company, Kim Hyun-joon. He revealed that Samsung is working on two top end devices that will be unveiled in the coming months. One of these devices will have a bigger screen, this will definitely be the Galaxy Note 4, and the other one will be made from “new materials”. This one made with new materials is no doubt the Galaxy Alpha that has been said to have a metallic body.

This is quite new for Samsung given that most of their current devices, including the Galaxy S5, have plastic bodies. The Galaxy Alpha may be unveiled sooner than expected in August 4 according to the latest rumours.

The Galaxy Alpha will have a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. It will have 32GB of internal storage and a fingerprint sensor. These are all the specs that we have at the moment and we expect to see more as time goes by.
