Microsoft Is Working On a Windows Phone for Selfie Enthusiasts

Nokia Lumia 1020 front camera zoom

Less than a week after it was revealed that Microsoft will be doing away with some of the low performing Nokia devices, the company is on a new course that will see it unveil the first selfie phone ruining Windows Phone OS. This new phone will join the Xperia C3 that was the first Selfie-oriented Smartphone from Sony and was launched less than 2 months ago. In addition to the selfie phone, Microsoft will also be unveiling a high end Smartphone with a PureView camera.

The selfie phone is codenamed “Superman” and will have an impressive 5-megapixel front facing camera. It will also have a 4.7-inch display screen that is quite the right size compared to most Smartphone screens we see on the market.

This selfie Smartphone from Microsoft will face stiff competition from dev ices such as the Xperia Z1, Huawei Ascend P6 and the HTC One (M8) that also have 5 Megapixel front facing camera.

The second Smartphone that Microsoft will unveil is codenamed “Tesla.” This will be a high-end device having a PureView camera technology. Not much of this Smartphone is known at the moment as Microsoft has not shared much.

Whatever happens of this will be interesting for Microsoft and the Windows Phone ecosystem.
