The Galaxy K Zoom was officially unveiled in April this year, has been available in other markets and is now here in Kenya. The Galaxy K Zoom is meant to take over from the Galaxy S4 Zoom that was unveiled last year. The K Zoom is the second camera-specialised Smartphone and has some slight improvements compared to the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

Getting down to the details, the Galaxy K Zoom has an impressive a 20.7-megapixel camera with xenon flash and optical image stabilisation (OIS) for quality photos in dark areas. This camera is the real deal supporting 10x optical zoom and having advanced camera features including Pro Suggest mode that offers 5 optimized filter settings, AF/AE Separation (/Auto Focus/ Auto Exposure Separation) and Selfie Alarm offers users to take timed selfies. The front facing camera on the Galaxy K zoom will not be that impressive at only 2-megapixel.

The screen of the Galaxy K Zoom is a Super AMOLED HD one that is 4.8 inches in size with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Out of the box, the Galaxy K Zoom will run Android 4.4 KitKat.

Additional specs of the K Zoom include a hexa-core processor (quad-core 1.3GHz and a dual-core 1.7GHz) and 2GB RAM.  The Smartphone also comes with 8GB of internal memory that is expandable using a microSD card. To power this device there is a 2430mAh battery sitting at the back.
