Samsung has a ton of devices out there and this always makes it difficult to roll out updates for most of them. For those who own the Galaxy Grand 2 that was announced late last year, there is some good news as the Android 4.4 KitKat update is rolling out.
Samsung has just started rolling out the update so it might take time to reach all users. This update will included all the Android features up to version 4.4.2 and the updated TouchWiz launcher. The Galaxy Grand 2 was launched with Android 4.3 out of the box and to get KitKat this first is really good.
The update gas started rolling out in India on the dual SIM Galaxy Grand 2 version that has had good success in India. With the dual SIM variant getting updates, we expect Samsung to push this to the single SIM version in other markets very soon.
The update is only available over-the-air and weighs about 360MB. For those waiting for it to be available on Samsung Kies suite, it should not be long before it shows up there.
