gsmarena 0013

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is one Smartphone we all know is coming but the exact date is what we can still speculate for now. The Galaxy S5 mini as its name suggests will be a smaller version of Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S5.

Most Smartphone manufacturers including Samsung have been launching mini versions of their flagship Smartphones for some time now to cater for the consumers who may not afford or are not comfortable with bigger devices. Samsung’s current flagship has been around for a while now and we all know it is about to get a smaller brother.

This is after photos of the Galaxy S5 mini surfaced showing it in comparison with the Galaxy S5. Looking at the photos, you will clearly see the Galaxy S5 mini has the same design as its flagship brother and even borrows the dotted plastic back.

The phone is also believed to be water and dust resistant but this will have to be proved when the device is officially unveiled.

Other specs of the Galaxy S5 mini include a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution, quad core processor, 16GB of internal storage and 1.5GB of RAM. The back camera will have a resolution of 8MP with a 2.1MP shooter at the front. Just like the Galaxy S5, this mini version will have a fingerprint scanner and heart-rate monitor.

The Galaxy S5 mini will come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box and will run the latest version of TouchWiz.
