Twitter Adds Real-Time Notification Pop Ups

For most people, missing notification on Twitter is a common feature especially when you are busy working on another tab on your browser. Well, this is about to change as Twitter is working  on a pop up notification feature for  replies, favourites, and retweets.

The new feature is still undergoing testing and will be available on the desktop version of Twitter very soon. The pop up will be similar to the one available on Facebook but unlike the Facebook one that redirects you to a new page when you click it, this will allow you to retweet, favourite or reply directly from the notification.

You can adjust your setting to be able to receive notifications from new followers or direct messages.

Twitter has been making changes recently hoping to attract and retain users on the site, and this is one of those changes that might just pay off.

Twitter is keen to attract and retain users if it is to make money in the near future.
