Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini Leaks – Features A 720p Screen, 1.5GB RAM And An 8MP Camera

Mini Smartphones are the new cool if we are to judge from the trend Smartphone manufacturers have been taking recently.  Companies such as Sony, Samsung and LG have mini version of their premium flagship devices in a move that targets users who are not comfortable with big screens. Out of all the mini Smartphones in the market, the Xperia Z1 compact is the one that stands out with top of the line specs in a small chasis.

With that in mind, lets look at the recent rumour that suggests the Galaxy S5 mini is coming our way.

Although not confirmed, rumours are that Samsung is working on a mini version of the Galaxy S5 that will have some decent specs and features. The specs leaked are not the same as the ones on the flagship, Galaxy S5, but are still worth looking at.

According to a reliable source over at Sammobile, the Galaxy S5 mini will have a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. This is quite an improvement from the 960 x 540 resolution on the Galaxy S4 mini. It will be powered by a quad core snapdragon 400 processor whose speeds have not yet been revealed but will probably be anywhere between 1.2 – 1.7 GHz. These are the speeds achieved by most other quad core Snapdragon 400 processors.

A few other specs of the Galaxy S5 mini include 1.5GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, an 8MP camera at the back and a 2MP camera front facing camera for all your selfies. It will also have a 2,100-mAh battery and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat straight out of the box.

Pricing and availability date have not been announced but Sammobile speculates it may be sometime in June this year.
