We already know that Samsung is planning a major event of February 24 at Mobile World Congress. The event the company refers to as “Unpacked 5” is expected to see the unveiling of a ton of new devices from Samsung.
One of the devices that is rumored to launch at the event is the Galaxy S5. Samsung has previously unveiled their flagship devices during such “unpacked” events and we do not expect this year to be any different. The “Unpacked 5” is also straight forward giving us all the clues that the Galaxy S5 is coming.
To confirm all this is a recent report released by the New York Times that suggests Samsung will use the event to unveil the Galaxy Gear 2 and the Galaxy S5.
Details suggest that Samsung will tone down the “gimmicky” enhancements on the Galaxy S5 and focus more on design quality. The Galaxy S5 will also have a faster processor, a better camera and 1080p display not the rumored Quas HD panel. The company will also focus more on security features to make the phone appealing to business users.
The Galaxy Gear 2 on the other hand is still a mystery as no specific information has been provided in the report. Even though this is the case, most critics say it will see improvement in battery life among other features. As for Tizen, Samsung will have a separate event for this.
