The tablet market is currently dominated by the two tech giants, Apple and Samsung. The two companies have combined sales of over 90 million tablets this year alone. Of these sales figures, Samsung is believed to have just over 40 million sold tablets. This is quite a big improvement from the 16 million tablets the company sold last year.
According to a report by FNN News, Samsung sold over 9.1 million tablets in Q1, 8.4 million in Q2, 10.5 million in Q3 and 12 million in the last quarter. The increase in sales in the last quarter is attributed to the recently launched Galaxy 10.1(2014 edition).
With such impressive numbers, 2013 has definitely been a good year for the Korean electronics manufacturer and we will keep an eye on the company this coming year.
